MORE KITEBOARDING ACTION
Oops.  It's working now.  Thanks for the quick feedback. Ed.

The winds were blowing on Okanagan Lake again and this can only mean one thing - the kiteboarders were going to be having fun.  Bill got out and took these photos.  While I am not sure,
I think the Lakeshore Inn once again helped out.

ATTENTION AUTOCROSS RACERS

MATT WANTS YOU

If you want to autocross this year, do not leave sign up for the first race of the year.

Sign up is this Sunday, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Freddy's Brew Pub.

KITEBOARDING PHOTOS
There are those moments when I am taking sports shots that I wish I had a 600mm lens.  I am quite sure the folks at Photography West wish I had bought one as well.  Thankfully, Garnet at the Lakeshore Inn got me a little closer to all the excitement. However, all the photo toys in the world would be nothing without great subjects.  These kiteboarders were very talented and while it doesn't quite fit into what we usually take photos of, I know I will be back for more.  Here are some more photos from Tuesday.

SUMMER IS HERE
Ahh, the sports of summer!  A few very eager souls braved the wind and cold water to enjoy a blustery moment on Okanagan Lake.  Bill Robertson was on hand to catch some of the kiteboarding action.  Click here for his photos.

UP2SPEED RELEASED
Imagine for a second, collector cars going at bargain prices or maybe some fantastic trip with winding roads and beautiful scenery.  Now combine the two!  I am not sure if Markus is trying to embark on a second career as a travel agent, but it seems to work.  Click here for this month's UP2SPEED.

THE MONTH OF COUNT DOWNS & UNFINISHED BUSINESS

I'm not sure if you have noticed it or not, but the Okanagan Valley has just a slightly higher altitude than the lower mainland.  One of the things that stood out in my mind at the Vancouver Motorcycle Show,  was the fact that people were riding their motorcycles to the event.  Well, I saw it yesterday, our first brave soul of the year, on his yellow and black Honda street bike.  We really need to create an award or something.

Sure it's been over a month now, but that's what March is all about - countdowns!  The 2007 F1 season is about to start in Australia (who can't wait to see what Kimi will do dressed in red?) The Autocross boys and girls must be twitching in their seats, waiting for a long enough evening to go racing. We even got our first Knox Mountain Hillclimb email! Man, I love the taste of sunshine in the morning!

Sure the skiers and snowboarders out there must be dreading these last few days, but hey, it's feels like it's been winter forever!

We also have a bit of catching up to do here after our little hiatus.  Bill has sent in some more shots of the racing action at the BC Special Olympics. We will be setting those up shortly.  There are still the photos from the Motorcycle Show and a few changes that need to be made to this website.  We will tackle these jobs one at a time and hopefully we will be in full swing shortly.

Let the countdown begin ...
