TAKES THE WIN THIS WEEK |

Before we get to giving Matt
the praise he deserves, we must correct a a slip up
we made last week. With all the fun and
excitement of the
Knox
Mountain Hillclimb, we forgot to put up
one weeks worth of photos, we corrected that below,
but failed to mention that last week was Zac's
second win in a row! That is an amazing feat
considering the caliber of the racing this year.
Ok, now that Zac is smiling again, Matt's very close
win this week ruined any chance of Zac becoming the
first person this year to win three weeks in a row.
Matt and his new car are finally getting to know one
another. Are we beginning to see a comeback
from the master? We hope so!
One person who seems to be faster than Matt is Cal
Maier. Before I could start working on today's
page, he had his photos up on the server. Ahh
those Canon Pro's know all the secrets.

MONDAY NIGHT BMX
RACING? |

Yes, there was racing on Monday night at the Kelowna
BMX track. A few weeks ago they were rained
out, so instead of a practice night this week,
racing was in full swing. William was on hand
to catch some of the action. Click

I really have a great time taking photos here.
Don't forget that the Okanagan BMX clubs work
together, so if you really want the practice, you
can race most of the week.

Knox Mountain Hillclimb is in full swing! Cal
Maier took
these photos on Day One. Sunday
is the final day of racing. If you want to
take the family to this great event and support one
of Kelowna's oldest auto races, then tomorrow is the
day. |

BMX ACTION |
Kelowna's BMX racers are more than just fast, they
care a lot as well. On June 2nd this year,
they will be hosting the "RACE for LIFE" and helping
the fight against Leukemia. For more

I
really had fun last night. Not only was the
racing great, but the riders were very talented and
doing some amazing things. I got to play with
the camera a little more than usual. It
was almost like being a kid again.

BRIAN HEMMING
WINS & MORE AUTOCROSS PHOTOS |

This week's track layout was particularly favorable
for the... photographers. Brian Hemming put in
a very fast and cone-less lap to become this week's
winner! It was really good to see him come out on
top this week. It brings back some memories of
a little white 510. All in all, the driving skill
and this year's racing action has been amazing.
The Okanagan

Well,
the sunny Okanagan needed to get some rain.
Unfortunately, it happened on a Wednesday night.
I am sure the BMX racers and their fans were a
little sad, but the great thing is that there will
be a make up race.
