The
Prescribed Burn
Rally Team overcame unusual road conditions,
weather and tough competition to place 4th in the
regional race for the
2007
Pacific Forest Rally. This result exceeded the
goals the team set for itself going into the rally.

It was a
long two weeks off but it is good to be back.
Yes, the autobahn was great. Just a quick note on
that though, they are considering putting a speed
limit of 130 km/h on it, so if you want to have some
fun, do it quickly. I got to see quite a few
interesting things and I will share them over the
next few weeks. |

Ok, you
have to be brave to show up for a marathon when the
weather reports call for 100% chance of rain.
Well, at least the volunteers and photographers have
to be.
Thankfully (insert huge sigh of relief here) the day
was perfect for the runners and I did not have to
bring out the rain gear. I know I say this
every year, but this event always seems run so
smoothly. The volunteers were amazing.
Thank you.
As you can see I got a little carried away with the
photographs. I was so inspired by the racers
and some of their stories. Sure the marathon
class athletes were fast, but it was more than just
a race. For some it was about teamwork, others
used it to raise money for a good cause and for
others it was a personal challenge. It was
hard just to take one photo, so here they are:
